“ It’s a very rare deliciously traditional antique coffee shop taken over by a 2nd generation owner but roasting beans in the same delicious traditional way. The shop unlike many old coffee shops, is being run properly and with care. But, Just like any traditional shop, it is facing a modern dilemma ability versus profitability. “ Old cofee shop with authentic ancient roasting machine. They do everything from scratch from roasting coffee beans, grinding it and making the coffee drip. Not so many space inside, so please do not stay that long for other people to enjoy. The walls are decorated with paints, pictures and books. They do everything in the open so you can see the process. The owner is a very polite lady. She speaks in a highly polite Japanese language that makes you feel like you are respected. Mind you she can not speak english that well however she uses the translate app so everyone can be accomodated. I like the effort! She makes small conversations to everyone inside during the entire time. I only ordered a coffee (mandailing sumatra) which is moderately bitter and better to be drank in the spot. And it is perfect with their homemade pudding (according to other reviewers). Bitter coffee is good to make you awake and focus in the morning. Other blends (single origins and their own blends) are available. Please check them. The price is reasonably cheap. Around 1000 yen for a coffee and pudding. However I don’t think they have cashless option. Please bring cash. Will visit again if I go to Morioka again ”
